Feral Kittens

When Emily Jane was home last weekend, she brought home kittens. Four. And a mom cat. A feral mom cat. They were live-trapped in the parking lot of Home Depot in Lacrosse Wi. Because they were feral, there was not much chance that they would make it to the Available for Adoption part of life. So she took them all home to her apt, to try to tame them. The kittens came around immediately. But the mom isnt doing so well. Theres a chance she has been outside her whole life. The folks at the humane society think she could be a year old at the oldest. Her life sucks, most likely because some person dumped her outside. This holiday season, please donate to the animal rescue group of your choice. Animals like this need our help.

A year ago or so i was out of town with some other women, and someone looked out the kitchen window and said "i sure wish i had this view every AM". Well, I do have that view, although this is a different woods in a different county. I am lucky to live in such a great place, still within the Madison city limits, and less than a mile from the airport (that I almost never hear). And then when I went back to the kitchen to refill my coffee cup while this photo loaded, i watched 3 deer pass through my back yard.!!.........
