Boundweave Rug

Last week I was up on Washington Island at Sievers School of Fiber Arts. The class I took was Boundweave Wool Rugs. This is so different from the traditional cotton rag rugs that I have woven in the past. It was a hoot learning this new technique. I came home with enough wool rug yarn to make yet another one, and I already have a warp on my loom to try this technique with cotton rags. My friend Deb took this class too and wove a very successful rag boundweave rug. What a Great week! Our instructor Lynn mentioned that we should have areas of 'solitude' which is areas of no pattern. Well, I sort of forgot to do that part. Maybe on the next rug!....or not. And it took an act of congress to get the photo with no felines. All 3 are interested in using it for a new lounging area, and claiming it as their own.
